The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards went down last night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Of course there was lots to talk about!

When Taylor Swift won Best Female Video  for “I Knew You Were Trouble,” during her acceptance speech, she took a clear shot at one of her exes - a certain One Directioner.

She said, “I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is. Because now I’ve got one of these. Thank you very much!” And must we mention that her speech went uninterrupted. 

Another big part of the show was Miley Cyrus’ performance with Robin Thicke. Twitter exploded during her performance, which included multiple hip thrusts and shaking of her backside in Robin’s direction.  At one point, Miley used the giant foam finger on her hand to get up close and personal with the “Blurred Lines” singer. 

Lady Gaga was another talked about performer. She started the show and performed her new single “Applause” 

She changed in and out of wigs and eventually ended up in the barely-there mermaid-inspired bikini outfit that appears in the video for “Applause.”  She kept in on for the rest of the night. 

And the rumors were true! NSYNC reunited during Justin Timberlake’s performance. They sang bits of their songs “Girlfriend” and “Bye Bye Bye” in the middle of a collection of some of Timberlake’s biggest solo hits.  Afterward, Justin dedicated his new Moonman trophy to his ‘NSync pals, but joked that he was going to keep this one at his house.

Other performers included Bruno Mars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kanye West, Drake, and Katy Perry who ended the night.
