The 2013 Billboard Music Awards went down last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vega, Nevada and live on ABC. And like all award shows A LOT went down! 

Taylor Swift took home the awards for Artist and Female Artist of the year. She also won the award for Album of the Year “Red” As well as 5 other awards.

Gotye won the award for Song of the Year with “Somebody that I Used to Know”. He also won 2 other awards

Rihanna won a total of 8 awards including R&B Artist of the Year, R&B Song of the Year “Diamonds, and R&B Album of the Year “Unapologetic” She didn’t sit next to Chris Brown who was also at the awards.

Justin Bieber won 3 awards including Male Artist of the Year and Social Artist of Year. He was also given the first ever Milestone Award, but was booed when he received it! He was also spotted kissing Selena Gomez backstage, but the didn’t sit together.

One Direction, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Nicki Minaj all tied each other for winning 3 awards each.

Of course there were lots of Performances as well. Miguel accidentally hit a women in the head while jumping from the stage to the cat walk.  “Did Miguel” started trending on Twitter, but Miguel later tweeted an apology, saying that the lady was ok. Others who performed include Macklemore & Ryan Leiws “Thrift Shop” with Wanz, Chris Brown “Fine China”, Bruno Mars “Treasure”, Selena Gomez “Come & Get It”, Icona Pop “I Love It”, Taylor Swift “22”, and many more.
