Kanye West is facing charges of battery and attempted grand theft over a run-in with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport. 

The L.A. City Attorney’s Office filed the two misdemeanor charges Friday. 

Back in July, as he was leaving the airport,  Kanye allegedly attacked photographer Danny Ramos after Ramos asked the rapper a question. 

During the altercation, the rapper reportedly grabbed Ramos and forced him to the ground.  Ramos suffered cuts and muscle strains as a result of the incident.  Last month, the district attorney decided not to file felony charges against Kanye.  Kanye will face a judge on October 10th.  

In August, Ramos teamed up with famed civil rights lawyer Gloria Allred to file a lawsuit against Kanye.  During a press conference, Allred said Kanye had interfered with Danny’s civil rights.  Ramos is seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
