Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially called off their engagement, reps for both stars confirm.

Miley and Liam met during the filming of 2010’s The Last Song, and got engaged two years later in 2012, with a 3.5 carat ring. The couple decided to postpone their wedding earlier this year.

Miley has been spotted with and without her ring, on and off, but was seen together with Liam this summer in Canada, where he is filming his new movie. The couple was also seen together again in August on the red carpet for his movie, Paranoia.

Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be!
