MTV Movie Awars 2013 RECAP

MTV awards shows are nothing like other awards shows, as the outfits, award categories, and plethora of plugs for upcoming films from last night’s Movie Awards proved.
There certainly wasn’t a lack of eye candy, with skits featuring Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg, Liam Hemsworth, and Joe Mangienello (MTV sure knows how to pull in those key young female viewers). And Taylor Lautner’s six-pack yet again took the spotlight, winning the award for best shirtless performance for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
But we can’t ignore the ladies, especially 23-year-old Emma Watson, who humbly told viewers how she had bad hair and was teased as a kid while accepting the trailblazer award. “Becoming yourself is really hard and confusing, and it’s a process,” Watson said. “I was the girl in the front of the class who was the first person to put her hand up, and it’s often not cool to be the person who puts themselves out there.” Well said, Miss Watson!
Then former Disney-darling-turned-Spring Breakers star Selena Gomez—showing she can hold her own with the big stars of stage—performing her new single “Come & Get It”.
And while the clothing is nothing like the gowns at most awards shows, a few women didn’t forget that a red carpet is worth glamming up for.
Pre-show awards host and supermodel Karlie Kloss rocked an of-the-moment white cut-out number that shows less is more.
Scandal star Kerry Washington is never one to disappoint in the style department. Her Michael Kors dressed really showcase her long, beautifully toned legs,” says celebrity stylist Seth Brundle.
And Gomez? Moments before hitting the stage, she rocked a gold fringed mini that perfectly showed off an hourglass shape and those dancer’s legs.
