Nicki Minaj promoted her new fragrance Minajesty and chatted with Ellen about leaving American Idolafter just one season.

“You said that it was going to be a very difficult job and I laughed you off…ha ha ha, Ellen, you don’t know what you are talking about…but I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” Nicki said.

“It was a great learning experience, honestly. Literally as soon as “Idol” was done I did the Billboard Awards and then I flew to NY to shoot a movie. I didn’t even get to sit back and think what did I just do? It kind of happened so quick and then it was over.”
