The debut album from Ariana Grande has topped the album charts this week. 

The Nickelodeon actress-turned-singer clinched the number one spot on the Billboard after selling  138,000 copies of Yours Truly in the album’s first week out. 

Ariana’s strong start makes her the first female artist since 2010 to see her first album debut at number one.  The last woman to do so was Ke$ha with Animal.  ”Billboard” notes that 78% of Ariana’s album sales this week were digital.

A tweet from Rihanna has led to some speculation about a possible collaboration with Lady Gaga. 

On Wednesday, the “Diamonds” singer wrote that she just “recorded a #monster hook for one of [her] favorite artists.”  She added, “That’s all I can give you…” 

Many are taking her use of the word “monster” as a hint that Gaga could be her secret duet partner, as the star is also known by her nickname the “Mother Monster.”  Gaga’s new album ARTPOP is set to drop in November....

Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun is giving fans an update on the pop star’s musical plans. 

The manager has announced on Twitter that Bieber is planning to release “some new music” as early as next month. 

The tunes are expected to be coming from the star’s long-rumored “music journals” project that he tweeted about throughout his “Believe” tour. 

Earlier this year, he teased fans about a single called “Heartbreaker” that has yet to be released.

Turns out the twerking “fail” video that seemed almost too perfect to be real is a fake. 

Jimmy Kimmel revealed he was behind the hoax on his show Monday night when he interviewed the young lady, who is actually a stuntwoman.  The YouTube video that features a woman crashing through a table covered in candles that light her pants on fire while twerking got more than nine million views in less than a week. 

Kimmel hopes the video will help bring about an end to all twerking forever.
